Alaska Winter Solstice Film - (and a new kind of timelapse)

Filmed this short video on the winter solstice in Talkeetna. The official sunrise was 10:28 am and sunset was 3:29 pm. During our 5 hours of daylight, we captured various compositions at different times throughout the day and experimented with a new form of time-lapse.

While traditional time-lapses are a collection of sequential images usually shot over the course of a couple hours, the time-lapses I experimented with this day are a series of real time videos captured in the same spot at the beginning, middle and end of the shortest day of the year.
